The entity placing cookies on an end device of User of Web Portal and obtaining access to them is the operator of the Web Portal ‒ Chess Grow sp. z o.o. (Limited Liability Company), with its registered office in Gliwice, ul. Jasna 31, 44-100 Gliwice, Tax ID No. (NIP) 6312655837, REGON statistical no. 360525241, entered into the register of entrepreneurs kept by District Court in Gliwice, 10th Commercial Division of the National Court Register (KRS), under KRS number 0000537846.

Cookies used by the web portal (placed on an end device of User) may be made available to its partners and advertisers cooperating with it.

The Web Portal does not automatically collect any information, with the exception of information contained in cookies.


Cookies are IT data, in particular text files, which is stored on an end device of User of the Web Portal and are intended for using the websites of the Web Portal. Cookies usually contain name of the website from which they come, time of their storage on an end device and a unique number.

What do we use cookies for?

  1. 1. To tailor the content of websites of the Web Portal to User’s preferences and to optimise use of websites; in particular, these files allow to identify a device of User of the Web Portal and properly display the website, tailored to User’s individual needs,
  2. 2. To compile statistics helping understand how Users of the Web Portal use websites which allows to improve their structure and content,
  3. 3. Cookies also allow to save your logging sessions thus facilitating access to contents requiring registration.

The following two main types of cookies are used as part of the Web Portal: session cookies and persistent cookies. Session cookies are temporary files which are stored on User's end device until logging off, leaving the website or turning off software (web browser). Persistent cookies are stored on User’s end device for the time specified in cookies parameters or until they are deleted by User.

The following types of cookies are used as part of the Web Portal:

  1. strictly necessary cookies enabling use of services available as part of the Web Portal, e.g. authentication cookies used for services requiring authentication as part of the Web Portal,
  2. 2. cookies used for ensuring security, e.g. used for detecting authentication abuse as part of the Web Portal,

  4. 4. functional cookies enabling “saving” settings selected by User and personalisation of User interface, e.g. with respect to a chosen language or region from which User comes, font size, appearance of the website, etc.,
  5. 5. advertising cookies enabling delivery to Users of advertising contents more adjusted to their interests.

Furthermore, as part of the web portal we use Web beacons (also known as Internet navigation signs or pixel tags), tracking links and technologies of a similar type which consist of several lines of code and are built in the websites of our Web Portal. In principle, these technologies are used in conjunction with cookies, additionally, they are not visible to Users of the Web Portal. Web beacons may be a source of information for third parties, in particular for entities providing services for us and may be used to track interest in advertisements placed at the Web Portal to better direct our advertisements and enhance usefulness of the Web Portal. In the event you do not express consent to the use of cookies by us, it will simultaneously apply to Web beacons which will not be used for the above purposes, although it may limit your ability to use certain functionalities available in the Web Portal.

Do cookies contain personal data?

Personal data collected with use of cookies may be gathered only to perform specific functions for User. Such data is encrypted in a way preventing access to it by unauthorised persons.

Deletion of cookies

In many cases software used for browsing websites (web browser) by default enables storage of cookies on an end device of User. Users of the Web Portal may at any time change settings concerning cookies. These setting may be changed in particular in such a way as to block automatic support of cookies in web browser settings or to inform every time they are placed on a device of User of the Web Portal. The Operator of the Web Portal informs that the limitations on use of cookies may affect certain functionalities available on websites of the Web Portal.
